With nic teaming the single ip address is assigned to the team by the OS NOT a specific card.
the two nic are treated by the OS as if they are a single connection.
this is the problem nic teaming is designed to solve allowing the failure of a single card, cable or switch (if you plug the two cards into different physical switches) to not affect connectivity to the host.
