Hi,
I've had two sites, SSG-5 running in both locations, upgraded to TWBC - one at 300 mbps down/20 mbps up and second at 50 mbps down/5 mbps up and, in both cases, the speed tests done from a laptop on the Trusted side of SSG-5 show appallingly slow download speed test results. In contrast, the upload speed test portion shows approximate specified speed.
With SSG-5 interfaces being 100 mbps, I'm not surprised that it can't push full 300 mbps download speed, but I'm surprised and disappointed at SSG-5 showing only 1.7 mbps download repeatedly when tested on the TWBC 50 mbps line.
Their modem I believe are DOCSIS 3.0 or 3.1, and when I plug in a laptop directly to these modems, the test download speed are what they should be. Same when I test things by using a consumer grade recent generation Gigabit routers (like Linksys, D-Link, Asus, etc).
Anybody know if it's possible to get 50 mbps download speed on 50 mbps TWBC line when using SSG-5's with TWBC's current generation of modems? And, if so, what's the trick? The SSG-5's are on ScreenOS 6.3.0r21.0.
Next week, I'll have a SSG-140 available for testing, but I obviously want to see if there's a way with SSG-5...
Thanks in advance,
Randall
