Does this issue happen during Phase-2 rekey or the VPN doe not come up even for the first time?
If modifying the soft lifetime buffer did not help, you can try clearing the VPN session (UDP-500/4500) between the SRX and the SSG and see if that helps.
Is there a NAT-ing device inbetween these Firewalls?
