All,
We currently have a 10M line as out main line and an ADSL backup line on an SSG5 F/W 6.3.0r16.0 and H/W 710(0).
We just got connected to a 100M line and i've basically configured the 100M line on an additional port on the SSG5, so we now have 3 lines coming in. This is so I can configure the 100M and make DNS changes with as little downtime as possible, shifting the repointing from the 10M to the 100M IP
I've duplicated the settings from the 10M interface on the100M, including all port forwarding MIP and VIP settings. I've also added the necessary policies in place. So those look fine
My question is, although I can ping the main 100M IP internally, I'm unable to do so internally. Thi sis the same fot he ADSL line - it handles our SMTP traffic but I cant pping that externally either. Is this because the only default route is the 10M IP?
Can i add another default route as 0.0.0.0/0 for the new 100M IP so that I can start diverting traffic to that IP? Or does the SSG5 only use a single default route?
Regarding the screenshots, the connections are:
bgroup0 ADSL
ethernet0/0 10M
ethernet 0/6 100M
Your advice and help will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Evren
